We are a husband and wife team with years of experience in ethnic jewelry, antique and contemporary.  Our passion is sharing the cultures of others with our customers through personal adornment.  We love antique pieces which have travelled around the world, had a myriad of owners, and have a *history* to them.  The jewelry and clothes we wear speak volumes about who we are. By traveling to the sources, we are able to bring our customers the *finest* pieces at the most competetive prices online.  Offering contemporary items allows us to work directly with artisans in 4 different countries and help support Third World local industries; we can do this because there is no middleman.  We share profits fairly with the artisans.Our items are authentic; we always state the age of an item as antique, vintage, or contemporary (or a combination of two of these).  There are other online traders who offer items as antique and vintage when the are not; you will not find this with us.  We strive hard to please our customers and invite inquiries regarding our items.  We have searched an entire country for a particularly rare style of pendant for one customer, with success!  We never sell illegal items and we do not support the export of banned antiquities or the trade in aritifacts.  Occasionally we are able to offer ancient items and these are often from countries where ancient beads are common and not considered national treasures; many African bead dealers offer them and the items legally leave their countries of origin.  We specialize in ANTIQUE CORAL from Morocco, Algeria, and Yemen; ANTIQUE AMBER from Morocco and Mali; ANTIQUE, VINTAGE, and CONTEMPORARY Tuareg adornments from Niger, Mali, Mauritania, and Algeria; and many North African and Central Asian items.  We often list odd and wonderful surprises from all ends of the earth for good measure.  Our goals are:
